For 25-man raid content, the loot system that we will be using is a variation on the SLS (Shroud Loot System).

It's design is to award attendance and effort, but keep points from over-inflating.

Points are awarded as follows:
+5 points for being ready to go at 6:30 server.

+5 points for each half hour spent in the raid.
(This means that a typical raid, 6:30 server to 10 server, will be worth 40 points, 5 for being on time, and 35 for staying until end time)

+10 points for Fate's first time to down a boss

Points assigned by Loughlin, as he sees fit (note that I will not use this option most of the time... however, I may award points based on first time completion of difficult achievements, such as Shocking! on 25man Thaddeus)

Backup Players and their Points

* If there is a full raid, a Fate member may be placed in a backup capacity by the officers. As a backup, the player will need to be available for the duration of the raid to fill in if someone leaves. A backup player will earn 10 points for the night (+5 for being available on time, +5 for being available from 6:30pm to 10pm). If a player is selected to be a backup, and is unable to fill in should the need arise, he/she will forfeit all of his/her backup points for the night.

When we down a boss, we will ask:

  1. For mainspec interest in the item.  If you are interested, simply type ‘Interested’ in /raid.  Whoever has the most points will win the item.  The cost for all items are half your current dkp.
  2. If no one is interested in the item for mainspec, we will ask for off-spec/sidegrade rolls.  The item then is won by the highest roller and there is no dkp cost for the item.

(Please be aware that if an item goes to off-spec/sidegrade roll, all persons who fall into that category may roll on it and win It.  If you truly want something or it is an upgrade,  the  only way to ensure you get it is through spending your dkp.  The faster you spend it, the cheaper items are, and the faster you start building dkp again.  No complaints please if you choose to take a chance by letting it go to a roll and then lose it to someone else.)

*Loughlin, as the GM, has the right to override any purchase if it’s not sensible.  This seldom to virtually never happens, but as a fail-safe to protect the guild he does reserve the right to do so.

BOE’s  can be won in either manner above.  However we encourage passing if it’s not a huge upgrade for you or is for an off-spec you’re not likely to use often.  These then go into the guild bank where they are sold by one of the officers for future repair monies for the guild on occasional, rough progression nights.

Runed, Crusader, etc. Orbs  are to be placed in the guild bank.  Anyone who needs any of these materials from the guild bank to make an upgrade for yourself, please ask an officer to withdraw it for you.  The GM will have a dkp price set for these which may vary.  Changes will be posted on the forums.  (Orbs are not to be sold. They are only to make an item for yourself as an upgrade and an officer may ask to see that item equipped on you.)

Patterns  will be rolled on by those who:

  • Have the profession and skill level to make it right then at the time of the drop

We like to see winners of patterns willing to make those items for guildies provided the person supplies the mats for them to craft it.  They did after all help you get it and having that upgrade made will help get all of us future loot and patterns.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Point totals will be downloaded prior to each run. When an item is purchased, it will be using "real time" points, which include points earned during the night's run.

Points can be viewed at any time at [
webdkp.com]
Please be patient with us each night after the raid. It will take the officers a little bit to upload the points earned during the night.

If you have any questions about the loot system please feel free to ask any officer before or after the raid, or on a non-raid night.  Please understand, during the raid is not the time for a lengthy discussion on how loot works.
